Influências das L1 nativas no português de Timor-Leste : um estudo dos marcadores verbais

Este trabalho pretende analisar o português falado em Timor-Leste, apresentando uma característica notória dessa variedade que é o uso de certos advérbios como marcadores aspectuais e modais do verbo, principalmente o emprego de já como marcador de aspecto perfectivo, ainda marcador de aspecto progressivo/durativo, ainda não como modalizador negativo. Argumenta-se aqui que a influência principal na existência desses marcadores é a língua materna (L1) do falante, já que a maioria das línguas nativas de Timor-Leste é de origem austronésia, com a presença de um grande número de marcadores pré-verbais e pós-verbais para expressar diversas categorias gramaticais no verbo

Um estudo da ecologia do contato de línguas em Timor-Leste

O presente artigo tem como objetivo apontar os aspectos teóricos da ecologia do contato de línguas e povos, bem como aplicar tal teoria em um estudo de caso específico, que é analisar a ecologia do contato de línguas/dialetos e indivíduos/povos em Timor-Leste. Assim, este trabalho está dividido da seguinte maneira: após a introdução, será realizada uma revisão bibliográfica, em (2); em (3), serão apresentadas algumas características básicas do ecossistema linguístico local de Timor-Leste; em seguida, em (4), serão discutidas as situações de contato e alguns fatores que influenciam na ecologia do contato; em (5), serão analisados os resultados do contato de línguas e povos em Timor; finalmente, em (6), serão apresentadas as considerações finais.This article aims to point out the theoretical aspects of the ecology of languages in contact together with people contact as well. Furthermore, this article will present a specific case study in which it is analyzed the ecology of languages and dialects in contact, and also people and individual contacts in East Timor. Thus, this article is divided as the following: after the introduction, it will be conducted a bibliographical review, in section (2); in section (3), it will be presented some basic traces of East Timor Language Ecosystem; in section 4, the situations of contacts and the factors which have influence on the ecology of contact will be discussed; in section (5), the results of languages and people in contact in East Timor will be analyzed; finally, in section (6), the final remarks will be withdrawn

O português de Timor Leste : contribuições para o estudo de uma variedade emergente

Portuguese has been the official language of East Timor since 2002. With the Portuguese language transplanted to former colonies of Portugal, varieties of the language emerged in each one of the different colonies. The present paper aims to give a brief history of the Portuguese language in East Timor (2), and analyze the East Timorese variety of Portuguese on different linguistic levels: phonology (3), morphosyntax (4), lexicon and semantics (5) in order to show the existence of this variety and to aid its preservation

Especificidades do léxico do português de Timor-Leste Peculiarities of East Timorese Portuguese lexicon

Este artigo pretende analisar traços específicos do léxico do português falado em Timor-Leste. Primeiramente, será apresentado um esboço sócio-histórico da língua Portuguesa em Timor (2). Em seguida, será analisado o léxico, argumentando-se, baseado em Thomaz (1995), 202 Davi B. Albuquerque a favor da existência de elementos luso-timorenses, que consistem em itens lexicais portugueses que sofreram mudanças semânticas ou retenções quinhentistas na ilha de Timor (3). Na seção seguinte (4), serão apontados itens lexicais das línguas nativas que foram incorporados ao português, especificamente da língua Tetun. Finalmente, outros vocábulos de origem estrangeira comuns no Português de Timor-Leste também serão discutidos, principalmente de origem malaia, chinesa e japonesa. Os dados linguísticos analisados, juntamente com as conclusões expostas, evidenciam que o Português de Timor-Leste (ptl) é uma variedade da língua portuguesa, assim como: o Português Europeu (pe), o Português Brasileiro (pb).The aim of this article is to analyze characteristic features of the lexicon of the Portuguese spoken in East Timor. The article begins with a socio-historic outline of the Portuguese language on the island of Timor (2). This is followed by an analysis of the lexicon, defending, based on Thomaz (1995), the existence of Luso-Timorese elements, consisting of Portuguese lexical items that have undergone semantic change or archaic retentions on the island of Timor (3). The next section (4), highlights lexical items from native languages that have been incorporated into Portuguese, specifically from the Tetun language. The final section also discusses other foreign origin words common in the Portuguese of East Timor, principally words of Malay, Chinese, and Japanese origin. The linguistic data analyzed, together with the conclusions presented, show that East Timorese Portuguese (tp) can be denominated a variety of Portuguese in the same way as European Portuguese (ep), and Brazilian Portuguese (bp)

Os contatos linguísticos em Timor-Leste : mudanças e reestruturação gramatical

Timor-Leste é uma pequena ilha localizada no sudeste asiático e tem como línguas oficiais o português e o Tétum-Praça. Há milhares de anos esta ilha é alvo de contato entre povos e línguas pelo fato de fazer parte de uma rota comercial asiática documentada há séculos desde um período anterior aos europeus. Através de evidências arqueológicas e linguísticas é possível mapear migrações de povos pré-austronésios, austronésios e papuásicos, em tempos pré-históricos e em tempos históricos. Este artigo procura analisar o contato de línguas em Timor-Leste, quais línguas nativas sofreram mudanças devido ao contato e quais sofreram reestruturação gramatical devido a um contato ainda mais intenso. Ainda, as línguas de origem austronésia e papuásica de Timor-Leste sofreram mudanças linguísticas distintas, como o Tétum, o Manbae e o Tokodede que tiveram contato intenso e mudanças induzidas pelo contato, enquanto outras línguas, como o Baikenu, o Makasae e o Bunak, sofreram poucas mudanças linguísticas.East Timor is a small island located at Southeastern Asia and present Portuguese and Tétum-Praça as its official languages. For thousand years this island has suffered contacts with several people and languages due to is place within a commercial trade route in Asia which is documented for several centuries, even before European. Through archeological and linguistic evidences, it is possible to map the migration of Pre-Austronesian, Austronesian and Papuasic people dating pre-historical and historical times. This paper intends to analyze different degrees of language contact in East Timor, contact-induced change underwent on Timorese native languages, and in some cases grammatical restructuration due to intense contact. Furthermore, Austronesian and Papuan languages of East Timor have had divergent linguistic change, some languages, such as: Tetum, Mambae, and Tokodede, have intense contact and great contact-induced change, others languages, such as: Baikenu, Makasae, and Bunak, have only slight contact-induced change

O presente artigo procura apresentar evidências no nível morfossintático de que o português falado pelo povo leste-timorense trata-se de uma variedade dessa língua, chamada de Português de Timor-Leste (doravante PTL), assim como o Português Europeu (PE) e demais variedades já estudadas e que gozam de maior prestígio social, como o Português Brasileiro (PB), juntamente com outras variedades, como o Português de Moçambique (PM), Português de Angola (PA), e os crioulos de base lexical portuguesa

Política linguística para as línguas oficiais em Timor-Leste : o português e o Tétum-Praça

O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar a política e o planejamento linguísticos para o português e o Tétum-Praça em Timor-Leste, já que ambas as línguas são asseguradas pela cons-tituição do país, que data de 2002, como línguas oficiais. Desta forma, em (2), serão discutidos o alçamento do status e do corpus do Tétum-Praça; em (3), será examinada principalmente a questão do status da língua portuguesa em território leste- -timorense; e, em (4), serão elaboradas grades de análise para avaliar a eficácia do planejamento linguístico leste-timorense em diferentes momen-tos de sua história.This paper intends to analyze language policy and language planning for Portuguese and Tétum- -Praça in Timor-Leste in view of the fact that both languages are guaranteed as official languages in the 2002 National Constitution. Hence, in (2), corpus and status planning for Tétum-Praça will be discussed, followed by the examination of the higher status that Portuguese language presents in the country, in (3). Finally, in (4), analytical grids will be elaborated to evaluate the effects of language planning in various periods in East Timorese history

As contribuições das ciências cognitivas para a ecolinguística

O presente artigo tem como objetivo principal apontar as contribuições das ciências cognitivas para a ecolinguística, que se caracteriza como uma abordagem recente para os estudos da linguagem. Para tanto, serão apresentados os modelos teóricos da ecolinguística que se relacionam com aspectos cognitivos, a saber: a linguística ecossistêmica e a linguística dialética, e as contribuições que as segunda e terceira gerações das ciências cognitivas ofereceram para esses ramos da ecolinguística. Assim, será elaborada uma proposta que procura desenvolver a teoria da linguística ecossistêmica, bem como fornecer ferramentas para a análise de fenômenos linguísticos, encarando-os como fenômenos mentais e ecológicos. Finalmente, será conduzido um estudo de caso aplicando a proposta apresentada aqui.This paper has as the main objective to list the contributions of Cognitive Sciences to Ecolinguistics, which is a recent approach to language studies. Thus, Ecolinguistics theoretical models that are related to cognitive aspects, such Ecosystemic Linguistics and Dialectical Linguistics, will be presented. It will also present the contributions of cognitive sciences’ second wave and third wave to these different Ecolinguistic theories. Furthermore, it intends to elaborated a proposal which aims to develop Ecosystemic Linguistic theory and to supply tools to analyze several linguistic data, approaching them as mental and ecological phenomena. Finally, a case study will be conducted applying the proposal presented in the paper

Espacialidade ao ver e ser visto : a sobreposição do papel do fotógrafo nos autorretratos e selfies

Os retratos fotográficos são uma forma consolidada de se representar. Refletir a partir da visão do retratado no momento em que esta se direciona no sentido oposto ao nosso olhar propõe a existência de um espaço contíguo ao corte que atravessa a quarta parede. Tal compreensão tensiona o contexto que circunda fisicamente o espaço da obtenção dos retratos. Neste trabalho, propõe-se a ampliação do espectro das análises em direção a um espaço definido pela formulação da noção de contraperspectiva: um espaço perspectivo inverso ao tradicional que se instaura no direcionamento do olhar para a câmera, e que se projeta sobre quem observa a imagem, incluindo-o, concebendo que o sentido é, também por isso, ampliado. Este espaço foi complexificado pela prática da selfie, promotora da sobreposição dos papéis do fotógrafo e do fotografado. Para tanto, propôs-se uma investigação qualitativa através de entrevistas com fotógrafos profissionais, buscando entender suas concepções e conflitos acerca dos perfis e retratos dos outros (ou de si próprios). Além da proposição teórica da contraperspectiva, este estudo propõe as noções de espacialidade constitutiva e figurativa, as quais, respectivamente, conceituam as possibilidades físicas da circunstância de obtenção e, no segundo caso, a materialização de uma escolha dentre as possibilidades. Outra percepção advinda do estudo sustenta que a presença de duas forças - que se entrecruzam no plano da imagem – atuam como vetores de entrada e saída da imagem em relação à quarta parede, estabelecendo-se em conflito constante, desperta principalmente pela posição do olhar direto. Acrescenta-se ainda, neste trabalho, a compreensão da ideia dos espaços perpendicular e paralelo, no qual o primeiro estabelece relação entre o retratado e o espaço que ele ocupa, que lhe circunda e do qual ele faz parte, e o segundo posiciona-se sobre o eixo retratado/câmera, efetuando-se na ligação estabelecida entre os olhares do sujeito retratado/visto em relação à posição da lente/observador/vidente. Neste sentido, propõe-se o entendimento que o olhar direto estabelece, mesmo que por breve instante, uma sensação de compartilhamento de espaços entre o observador e o observado. Assim, foi possível compreender em maior profundidade o espaço que permeia a obtenção e como este se relaciona, enquanto dinâmica, com as noções inclusivas nos processos de observação destes retratos.The photographic portraits are, for human beings, a consolidated way to represent. Reflecting from the viewer's perspective, at the moment it is directed in the opposite direction to our normally projective look (at the moment the subject is looking at the lens), it suggests the existence of a space adjoining the cut, translucent, which breaks through the fourth wall. Such an understanding aims to reflect about the whole context that physically surrounds the space of obtaining the portraits, understanding it as everything that involves the production of photographs. In this paper, it is aimed the amplification of the spectrum of the analysis that comprise a movement, inflated by the practice of selfies, that brings up the theoretical frame of the counter-perspective: a perspective space inverse to the traditional one that establishes in the direction of the look for the camera, And that is projected onto the one who observes the image, including that person, conceiving that the meaning is, therefore, also enlarged. In addition, the practice of selfie, which promotes the overlapping of the roles of photographer and photographed, also stresses spatiality insofar as it subverts the role of the observer to the observed. In addition to the theoretical proposition of contraperspective, this study proposes the notions of constitutive and figurative spatiality, which, respectively, conceptualize the physical possibilities of the circumstance of obtaining and, in the second case, the materialization of a choice among the possibilities. Another perception from the study maintains that the presence of two forces act as vectors of entrance and exit of the image in relation to the fourth wall, establishing itself in constant conflict, aroused mainly by the position of the direct look . It is also added in this work the understanding of the idea of perpendicular and parallel spaces, in which the former establishes a relation between the portrayed person and the space he occupies, which surrounds him and of which he is a part, and the second position On the retracted axis / camera, effecting the established connection between the glances of the subject portrayed / seen in relation to the position of the lens / observer / sighted. In this sense, it is proposed the understanding that the direct look establishes, even for a brief moment, a sense of space sharing between the observer and the observed. Thus, it was possible to understand in greater depth the space that permeates the obtaining and how this relates, while dynamic, with the inclusive notions in the processes of observation of these portraits
